-Yelp Engineer: Rucha S
"Getting People Fed Faster: How to Use Profiling to Improve Performance"

At Yelp, getting people their food fast is something we take very seriously. Hungry people don't like waiting for pages to load. In this talk, Rucha S will dive into how we used a number of profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks in Yelp's food ordering checkout flow and the solutions we implemented to address those. You'll walk away with strategies to tackle your own performance problems... and maybe a little hungry from all of the food photos.

-Yelp Product Manager: Ady P
"Converting Ideas to Problem Spaces"

There are thousands of different ideas that can take the search experience in vastly different directions. However, unlike the ideas we have, the time we can put into exploring all those avenues is not nearly as infinite. In this talk, Adi P will walk through some of the approaches we take to convert, filter and refine ideas into executable product spaces with the use of data, user research, and more!

The fastest way to an epic internship or awesome full-time position is by giving a Yelp recruiter your resume at the career fair or our tech talk. If you just can’t wait, take a look at our college positions on! Also, don't forget to check out our academic dataset.

We're providing dinner from Ike's Love & Sandwiches. Don't forget to RSVP:
