QInF is the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship, a competitive fellowship with $100,000 prizes for winning teams of PhD students, open to invited schools.

Now in its tenth year. We will be awarding fellowships of $100,000 to teams of two students. For the 2018 US edition, we invite proposals from 20 schools: Berkeley, Caltech, CMU, Columbia, Cornell, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan, MIT, Princeton, Rutgers, Stanford, UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, UIUC, USC, UT Austin, Washington and Wisconsin.

As in the previous years, one of the members of Qualcomm Research will be reaching out to faculty members who have recommended student proposals in the past.

Since 2009, there have been 33 finalists and 9 winners from Berkeley.

The fellowship is open to Ph.D. students in the Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and related departments, who will apply for the fellowship by submitting their application. The Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship is based on Qualcomm core values of innovation, execution and partnership. The fellowship is only open to teams of two Ph.D. students. The proposal must be recommended by one or more faculty members.

The application deadline is November 12, 2017.
