Professors Kathyrn Abrams and Leti Volpp, UC Berkeley School of Law, in conversation on current legal issues and political action. Professor Abrams is currently researching immigration issues in Arizona. She has taught law at multiple universities and has also had appointments to teach Ethics and Public Life. Her focus is on feminist jurisprudence, voting rights and constitutional law.

Professor Volpp researches how American national identity is constructed in relation to the perception of immigrant communities. Her work focuses on citizenship, culture, race and feminist theory, and immigration law. She practiced as a public interest lawyer working on immigrants' rights before entering academia.
