The Judith Lee Stronach Baccalaureate Prize supports intellectual and creative pursuits that heighten awareness of issues of social consciousness and contribute to the public good. The award gives engaged students the opportunity to extend and reflect upon their undergraduate work at Berkeley by undertaking a socially engaged project after their graduation.
Several prizes may be awarded, each in an amount up to $25,000, designed to cover project costs and living expenses for a period of up to one year. Proposals for service, creative, or community-based research projects are welcome. The 2017 Prize is open to Berkeley graduates in all areas of study who receive their degree in Fall 2016, Spring or Summer 2017. The application is due March 1, 2017.
