This workshop will demonstrate how undomesticated cloth can be! We will look at fabrics history as a radical tool for communication, then make back patches and a communal banner using applique and other surface techniques. Feel free to bring your favorite fabric scraps and elements to incorporate in your patch.
Join us for a free, docent-led tour of the Garden as we explore interesting plant species, learn about the vast collection, and see what is currently in bloom. Meet at the Entry Plaza.

A sci-fi tale that unwinds in the environs of the soul takes the form of a nightmarish quest for nothing less than truth itself. In a plot employing the roughest outlines of a novel by Soviet sci-fi writers Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, a writer and a scientist follow a shaven-headed stalker into forbidden territory, a dangerous wilderness known as the Zone.
