Dr. Paul Hekkert is a professor at TU Delft, where he teaches form theory and serves as the head of the Industrial Design Department.

Hekkert's work and research consider the way product design impacts human experience and behavior. He routinely publishes and lectures on this topic, and is the co-founder and chairman of the Design and Emotion Society. He developed the Unified Model of Aesthetics (UMA), considered the largest research program on aesthetics conducted to date, and is the chair for the university's aesthetics group.

Hekkert ’s talk is part of our continuing series, Design Field Notes, held on Mondays from 1-2pm at 220 Jacobs Hall. This event is free and welcome to all students and the public.
