Dr. Barakat Mousa ElHawati
Dr. Barakat Mousa ElHawati earned his PhD in Administrative Law at Université Rennes-I in France in 1978. He was the dean of the College of Law at Juba University when it was located in Khartoum, and founded and headed the Scientific Assembly for the College of Law in Sudan.
In his lecture, Dr. ElHawati will discuss the aspects of crises that Sudan currently suffers from, the huge mistakes that the regime made, and the failure of the military regime achieving the political stability and economic development in the country. In addition, he will be talking about the reasons behind and the success of December 19th, 2018 revolution in Sudan. He will also shed light on the challenges facing the current civilian government during the transitional period to establish democracy in the country based on what is known as the constitutional document
