Rob Neivert - Venture Partner, 500 Startups; Advisor, Tides Network (Portal); M.S., B.S., Management Science and Engineering, Stanford University
Rob is presently a Venture Partner at 500 Startups running the blockchain program. Previously he was an executive for startups having founded or worked at eight companies with four exits and four companies still operating. He was CEO for the last two venture-funded start-ups. He also maintain a broad domain of expertise, having held leadership positions in products, marketing, and operations. Academic credentials include a B.A., B.S., M.S., and M.B.A. degree from Stanford, Wesleyan and Santa Clara. He is a 500 startups Venture Partner, a mentor/advisor for Cardinal Ventures, Stanford iFarm and Stanford's Treehacks program, as well as an executive advisor for over 15 funded startups, and previously held the position of Executive in Residence at Quest Venture Partners.
Chandra Duggirala, MD - CEO, Tides Network (Portal); CEO, Fuel; Residency, Internal Medicine Residency Program, Drexel University College of Medicine
Chandra is a serial entrepreneur, libertarian and Bitcoiner. He is an inventor whose inventions range from Medical devices to software. His previous startup Fuel created the first intelligent nutrition engine that personalized diets based on DNA, behavior and biomarkers. Currently he is the CEO of Portal (Getportal.co), which is on a mission to build a non-custodial crypto trading and storage solution that eliminates counterparty risk entirely.
Matt McGee, Moderator - Business Strategy & Development, Sturfee; M.B.A. Candidate, University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business
Matt currently works with Sturfee, a computer vision company creating the world's first city-scale visual positioning system (VPS), in Business Strategy and Development.
Prior to Sturfee, he worked in EY's M&A Group, advising private equity and Fortune 100 clients on deals across healthcare, life sciences, financial services, and government contracting. Before EY, Matt worked at UBS where he focused on portfolio reporting and trading for family offices and corporate clients. Matt is currently pursuing his M.B.A. with UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and graduated from Loyola University Chicago with degrees in Accounting and Economics.
