SLC Language Exchange Program, UC Berkeley Student Learning Center

You're invited to join the Spring 2019 LEP Global Book Club! This semester, we will be reading The Displaced: Refugee Writers on Refugee Lives. Edited by Cal grad and Pulitzer Prize-Winning author Viet Thanh Nguyen, this book features the works of refugee writers from around the world. Engaging with their stories provides intimate insight into the realities faced by millions of people in our current moment. This book allows us to enhance our empathy towards others, while also challenging us to reflect on questions of our own identities, belonging, and our understandings of home.

Our meetings will be held every Thursday from 5-6PM. Participants are welcome to join at any time!
