Workshop | April 30 | 9 a.m.-5 p.m. | 24 University Hall

 Colin Gerker; Angela Stopper

 Human Resources

This 7 hour in-person workshop is part of the BPM Grow Your Team series. In this highly interactive workshop, each participant’s experience is drawn upon for the learning. Ideally, to contribute to and enhance understanding, participants will come with current and/or previous people management experience.

The content covers the DiSC® model, providing a common language for people to use to better understand themselves and adapt their behaviors with others. DiSC® is a non-judgmental tool used for discussion of people's behavioral differences.

By the end of this workshop, participants will:
• Identify your style and explore the priorities that drive you during your workday
• Discover the similarities and differences among the DiSC® styles
• Discover their reactions to different DiSC® styles
• Identify what works for them and what challenges them when working with each style
• Use the DiSC® model to understand others
• Discover how others have bridged their differences using DiSC®
• Practice using DiSC® to build more effective relationships at work
• Write an action plan for building more effective relationships
• Develop skills in recognizing people’s DiSC® styles based on their behavioral cues
