Bay Area/South Africa: One Day Cultural Exchange

In-service and pre-service teachers are invited to spend a day in facilitated discussion and learning with a group of 10 current and pre-service teachers from South Africa. The day will open with an introductory talk by Dr. Thomas Philip, from the UC Berkeley Graduate School for Education. The guest teachers from South Africa will be in the US as part of the Global Teachers Institute, through Teach With Africa. Space for up to 16 Bay Area teacher-attendees. Participation is free; there is limited funding for subs upon request. This event is co-sponsored by Teach With Africa, UC Berkeley History-Social Science Project, and ORIAS.
