Schlumberger Limited Info-Session

Information Session | October 30 | 6-8 p.m. | Soda Hall, Wozniak Lounge (430)

Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS)

The Schlumberger Technology Innovation Center (STIC) is holding an infosession! We're hosting this event on campus for Cal undergraduate and graduate students alike who are interested to learn more about what we do, the full-time and internship opportunities we have, and to meet some of our team.

We’ll be bringing in software engineers and data scientists of various specializations to talk about our work. We'll be giving a short presentation and presenting demos of some of our work and projects.

A bit about us:

Schlumberger is the world’s leading developer and provider of technology for the oil and gas industry. Our area of expertise is solving complex earth-science physics and logistics problems by inventing, designing, and deploying novel software and hardware solutions. We work in the cloud and on the edge. We are currently expanding our efforts and recruiting in Big Data Infrastructure, 3D Visualization, Virtual and Augmented Reality, High-Performance Computing, Machine Learning, User Experience, and Cybersecurity.

We have a strong engineering culture stretching back nearly a century, with hardware and software centers in dozens of countries around the world. Three years ago we established STIC here in Menlo Park in order to better collaborate with our corporate partners and nearby universities.

We will also leave a good chunk of time for questions, further discussion, resume drop, and food!
