Workshop | October 16 | 1-2:15 p.m. | 177 Stanley Hall

 Rosanne Lurie, QB3-Berkeley

QB3 - California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences

The key to effective career planning is knowing your strengths and skills both inside and outside the lab. Whether you are clear on your next career goal or are exploring your options, recognizing and articulating your abilities can help you find professional fulfillment and even improve the kinds of opportunities available to you. In this workshop, presented by the Rosanne Lurie, Director of QB3-Berkeley Graduate Student and Postdoc Career Development, you will have a chance to assess your motivated skills and learn how to determine which skills are valued in roles with employers such as academic institutions, private companies and public service organizations.

This event is part of the Building Career Skills Series -- Tuesdays & Thursdays in October/November 2018 -- workshops and panel events designed to help QB3-Berkeley doctoral students and postdocs develop their competencies in career planning and effective job search strategies.
