Drawing from Trees with Karen LeGault

Workshop | October 25 – 26, 2018 every day | 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. |  UC Botanical Garden

 Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden has an amazing diversity of trees to inspire us. In this two day workshop, we’ll look at the growth, forms and energy of trees - translating what we see and experience with pen and ink, pencil and colored pencil.

We will work in a variety of techniques, from quick gestural drawings to detailed studies. Trunks, roots, branches and leaves and various approaches to capturing their likenesses will round out our inquiry. We’ll each hone on one or two particular trees to focus on.
