In the near future robots will be in home and offices, will drive us around, will help humans with daily tasks and assist elderly, children and workers in factories. Scientists at Berkeley are in the forefront of robotics research trying to address issues as safety, scalability, intelligence, human interaction and societal impact. This symposium will give an overview of current technologies and discuss open societal questions.
