Free infinitely divisible distributions (FID) distributions were introduced by Voiculescu. Recently many classically infinitely divisible distributions have been shown to be FID too, the first highly nontrivial one being the normal distribution found by Belinschi, Bozejko, Lehner and Speicher in 2011. Also several subclasses of FID distributions have been introduced and studied. I will try to summarize these results as well as open problems.
