The Italian Society at Berkeley is delighted to announce a SPECIAL MOVIE NIGHT, on Tuesday, September 19.

Film director and writer Valerio Ruiz will be with us to present his short films "Piazza Fellini" (writer and director, 2011), and "Roma, Napoli, Venezia...in un crescendo rossiniano" (writer, 2014; director: Lina Wertmüller).

The screening, in Italian with English subtitles, will take place in 101 Moffitt, starting from 8.00 PM, and will include the two screenings, a Q&A session with the director, and the presentation of Ruiz's latest documentary "Behind the White Glasses" (2015), a musical portrait that shines a spotlight on unknown aspects of the creative, visionary and groundbreaking talent of filmmaker and writer, Lina Wertmüller.
The full documentary will be screened as part of the Homage to Lina Wertmüller organized by Cinema Italia San Francisco on the following Saturday, September 23, at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.

The event is organized by the Italian Society at Berkeley in collaboration with Cinema Italia San Francisco.
The event is sponsored by ASUC.
