Strengthen Your Syllabus
Workshop | August 17 | 12-1 p.m. | 117 Dwinelle Hall
A common lament among instructors everywhere is that students don't read the syllabus. So, what should you do? More importantly, why should you bother?
In this informal, hands-on workshop, Rita Conrad, senior consultant from the Center for Teaching and Learning, will offer advice on how to make your syllabus more compelling while also heading off grade disputes.
The first 15 minutes of the hour will be focused on tips and creative strategies for improving your syllabus, with the remaining time devoted to answering questions and helping participants review and refine their course documents.
No RSVP required, but please bring your laptop and/or several printed copies of your syllabus.
