Mary Elizabeth Berry, Class of 1944 Professor of History, Department of History
The annual commencement ceremony hosted by the Department of History recognizes students graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, or Doctorate of Philosophy in History.
The keynote speaker of this year's ceremony is Professor Mary Elizabeth Berry, a scholar of pre-modern Japan, a former department chair, and the author of "Japan in Print," "Mapping and Politics in Premodern Japan," "The Culture of Civil War in Kyoto," and "Hideyoshi."
