Implementation and Impacts of LEAN Redesigns in Primary Care

Despite rapid adoption of LEAN as a strategy for improving efficiency and quality, there is a lack of research on its effects in healthcare organizations. The goal of this presentation is to describe key contextual factors affecting frontline acceptance of Lean redesign in primary care clinics. System-wide impacts of Lean intervention on a diverse range of performance metrics will also be presented.
