A prominent figure of the American Pop Art movement, Andy Warhol (19281987) was one of the first to integrate fine art with celebrity culture, media spectacle, and mass production. This exhibition presents a selection of new gifts to BAMPFA from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, on view here for the first time, alongside previous gifts to the collection. The prints on display span over a decade of the artists career, from 1964, the year Warhol founded his legendary Factory, to 1977a period marked by an upheaval in cultural and societal norms.
